The Workforce Development Center’s (WDC) experts and resources ensure you and your organization meet OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT and other federal regulatory training requirements and standards. We also offer customized on-site and off-site training solutions for all your individual and organizational safety needs. Many programs can be directly applied to degree and advanced certifications.

Offering short-term credentials and certifications, customized training, and assessments, we train face-to-face either on our campus or at your site. We also provide a combination of online and hybrid (face-to-face and online) learning options.

8-Hour Lithium-ion Battery Emergency Response

Designed to equip emergency responders with essential knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage incidents involving lithium-ion batteries.

Hospital First Receiver

A course to train First Receivers in critical skills for handling patients contaminated with hazardous waste and emergency response as outlined in OSHA 1910.120

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (HazMat) Training Workshop

Comprehensive, hands-on training for individuals who are HazMat Technicians, members of a facility emergency response team, and HazMat environmental cleanup General Site Workers.

OSHA 24-Hour HAZWOPER (HazMat) Operations Level and Occasional Site Worker Workshop

Comprehensive, hands-on training for individuals who handle hazardous substances, members of a facility emergency response team, and HazMat environmental cleanup Occasional Site Workers.

OSHA 16-Hour HazMat and All-Hazards Incident Command Workshop

Participants will learn the command and control skills needed to develop a facility Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and respond to and manage HazMat and non-HazMat incidents.

OSHA 8-Hour Annual HazMat (HAZWOPER) Refresher Training Workshop

Hands-on and classroom training providing an OSHA-mandated annual review and update for all individuals handling hazardous substances, designated as HazMat emergency responders, and/or environmental cleanup General and Occasional site workers.

OSHA 16-Hour Confined Space Entry Operations and Introduction to Basic Rescue Workshop

Comprehensive classroom and hands-on training for all persons working in and around OSHA permit-required confined spaces, to include providing immediate emergency rescue on-site.

OSHA 8-Hour Confined Space Entry Operations Workshop

Comprehensive classroom and hands-on training for all persons working in and around OSHA permit-required confined spaces, to include authorized entrants, attendants and entry supervisors.

OSHA 8-Hour Confined Space Rescue Refresher Workshop

Classroom training and hands-on practical exercises required annually by OSHA for all individuals designated to provide immediate emergency rescue from an OSHA-permitted confined space.

OSHA 4-Hour Air Monitoring during Hazardous Materials Incidents Workshop

Hands-on training for all HazMat emergency responders to properly use and interpret the information provided by their Air Monitoring Instruments (AMI).

OSHA 8-Hour Comprehensive Fall Protection Safety Workshop

Attendees will understand basic risk assessments for fall protection, including hazard recognition, suspension trauma, and fall protection control measures, and will have the requisite knowledge and skill to be declared as an authorized fall protection worker by their employer.
